Dr. Lakkireddy graduated from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, India; completed his internal medicine residency from University of Missouri at Kanas City; and finished a cardiology fellowship at Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. He then completed Electrophysiology fellowship in at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Lakkireddy’s clinical interests include clinical cardiac electrophysiology, complex arrhythmia management, radiofrequency ablation including Atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. He is a Professor at Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Missouri, Columbia. He has published more than 300 peer reviewed manuscripts and 450 abstracts. He is featured at various national and international cardiovascular and Electrophysiology meetings. His research interests include – Yoga and cardiac dysrhythmias; AF and atrial tissue scar; myocardial inflammation and Non-ischemic cardiomyopathy; Cybersecurity in cardiac dysrhythmias, Left atrial appendage occlusion and its protean effects on the human homeostasis and cardiac dysrhythmias. He is a very active in the professional societies and serves on various committees with Heart Rhythm Society, American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology. He served on various committees in all the organizations. He is the Chair-Elect for the Electrophysiology Council of the American College of Cardiology. He is the founding member of the Global AF Alliance Foundation. He directs the Kansas City Heart Rhythm Symposium (KCHRS) and co-directs the International symposium on Left Atrial Appendage (ISLAA), and the Zurich LAA Management Course.
