Francis Marchlinski, MD

Dr. Marchlinski, a Professor of Medicine and Director of Electrophysiology, University of Pennsylvania Health Care System, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. He completed his postdoctoral internal medicine and cardiology/electrophysiology fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He has authored or co-authored more than 400 original articles and more than 130 book chapters, reviews and editorials on a variety of topics in cardiac electrophysiology. His area of expertise is related to the characterization of the substrate and mechanisms of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. His EP team has worked to improve localizing and ablation techniques for treatment of these arrhythmias.
