Jacqueline Saw, MD

Dr. Saw, an interventional cardiologist at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) with joint appointment at St. Paul’s Hospital. She is a clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia, and Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at VGH. Dr. Saw is a pioneer and leader in research and management of spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), and is the principal investigator of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research funded multicenter prospective Canadian SCAD Study, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation funded Canadian SCAD Genetic Study. She is also principal investigator on left atrial appendage (LAA) closure studies, including ASAP-TOO, Canadian WATCHMAN Registry, and Canadian ACP/Amulet Registry. Other research interests include non-atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, antiplatelet therapy, carotid artery stenting, peripheral arterial disease and intervention. She is also the principal investigator of PRYME, NACAD, SAFER-SCAD, TAP-CABG, and ELAPSE studies.
