Dr. John Day graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine, followed by cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowship training at Stanford University.

He currently serves as the Physician Executive of Cardiovascular Services for the HCA Mountain Division and maintains a busy clinical practice focused on atrial fibrillation at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

A former president of the Heart Rhythm Society and the Utah Chapter of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Day has also served as the physician leader of Heart Rhythm Services for Intermountain Healthcare. Recognized internationally as a thought leader in cardiac electrophysiology, he regularly speaks at major medical conferences on the latest advances in atrial fibrillation treatment.

Board certified in both cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Day has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications. He is the former editor-in-chief of The Journal of Innovations in Cardiac Rhythm Management.

In 2017, he co-authored The Longevity Plan: Seven Life-Transforming Lessons from Ancient China, published by HarperCollins. The book became an Amazon #1 bestseller, was named one of the best books of the year by HuffPost and received the Nautilus Book Award Gold Medal. His second book, The Atrial Fibrillation Cure, published by BenBella Books, remains the best-selling atrial fibrillation book of all time.

Dr. Day is married with four children, ages nine to 22. His family enjoys snow skiing and visiting Lake Powell. In his free time, he also enjoys mountain biking, trail running, and backcountry skiing.
