Dr. Rod Passman serves as the Jules J. Reingold Professor of Electrophysiology, Professor of Medicine (cardiology) and Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and joined the faculty at Northwestern University in 1998 after completing his training in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he also completed his Master’s Degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Dr. Passman is the founder and Director of the Northwestern University Center for Arrhythmia Research and has an international reputation as a clinician and clinical researcher. He has authored over 250 peer-reviewed papers and lectures around the world on topics in cardiac electrophysiology. His leadership in numerous research projects includes his role as Principal Investigator of Northwestern’s Strategically Focused Research Network Grant from the American Heart Association as well as the NIH-funded REACT-AF trial. Dr. Passman is also a committed teacher and mentor and has been recognized for these efforts with several teaching and mentorship awards, including the Northwestern University Mentor of the Year Award.
