Dr. Althoff is Senior Cardiac Electrophysiologist and Head of Research at the German Heart Center, Charité Berlin (DHZC), Department of Cardiology, Angiology and Intensive Care Medicine.

His clinical and scientific work focuses on the personalized management of complex atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, integrating advanced cardiac imaging, non-invasive electroanatomical mapping, and AI-based computational electrophysiology.

From 2020 to 2025, Dr. Althoff was Senior Electrophysiologist at Hospital Clinic, University of Barcelona (Profs. Roca, Mont & Brugada), and he previously served as Head of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Charité University Hospital Berlin.
